- A former investigator from the Cobb County District Attorney’s office is under investigation by the Roswell Police Department. Andre Allen allegedly stole a diamond ring from a local jewelry store in Roswell this past March. At the time, he was employed as an off-duty part-time security officer at the store. He took a ring after multiple rings fell on the floor as an associate was setting up the store. He then sold the ring to a pawn in Marietta. Allen is being charged with Theft and Violation Of Oath By a Public Officer. (Newsbreak)
- Fulton County Schools is honoring its longest-serving teacher. Michelle Donovan has been an educator for 41 years at Mimosa Elementary School on Warsaw Road in Roswell. She has devoted her career to teaching students who have orthopedic impairments. "I am one of those lucky people in the world that found the job that was meant for them," Donovan said. Her students and their parents not only consider her a teacher, but also a family member and a friend. She now teaches along her daughter, Juliette, and has no current plans of retiring anytime soon.
