ROSWELL, GA — A Home Depot employee became seriously injured on the job this week when a crowbar went through her ribs, The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported.

Emergency responders were called Tuesday to the Market Center at Holcomb Woods shopping mall in Roswell. The accident happened around 8:15 p.m. The 54-year-old woman was standing on a forklift in the store’s receiving area, the paper reported. The crowbar went through her abdomen.

Roswell firefighters were able to rescue the victim. She was taken to a local hospital for surgery and was stable by late Tuesday, the paper reported.
