  1. Mayor Kurt Wilson and the Roswell City Council will talk about their next steps for the creation of a promenade on Canton Street at their City Council Workshop. The meeting will take place this morning and will begin at 8 a.m. This meeting comes three weeks after their elected task force recommended the city to hire an urban planner. The task force decided to disband after the suggestion was made. This proposed project has gained major criticism from area business owners. They believe that the closing the vital street will negatively impact their businesses. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  2. Stephany Litvin is a Veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard and a native of Athens. She is now a member of the city's emergency 911-center. While in the Army National Guard, Litvin served in Afghanistan and was promoted to the rank of sergeant. She was recently honored by the city for her dedication and commitment to her country and to the City of Roswell. “I’m still trying to figure out life myself and figure out what I want to do. But for the future, now is going to be continuing to help others — and I enjoy doing that” Litvin said. She now enjoys her time with the 911 center and dedicates herself to the citizens of Roswell. 3. An online pet adoption platform, petfinder.com, has teamed up with Find Pets in Georgia to help advertise the pets they have up for adoption in and near Roswell. Most of the pets are currently being housed at animal shelters or pet rescue groups. There are several friendly canines that they are currently trying to rehome. The Find Pets in Georgia is working to find local residents to help them in this initiative. (Newsbreak)
