- The Massage Angel Spa off of Woodstock Road was raided by Roswell Police last Thursday after reports of illegal prostitution being conducted at the massage parlor. The raid came after a worker at the spa performed an illegal sexual act on an undercover officer after she was paid $200 by the undercover. Two employees were arrested and will be facing charges. The owner of the establishment has had similar allegations made against him in the past. The raid occurred during business hours while customers were in the massage parlor. (WSB Atlanta)
- A sewage spill coming from the Big Creek Wastewater Treatment plant in Roswell was determined to be the cause of the dangerously high levels of E. coli currently present in the Chattahoochee River. The treatment plant was permitting untreated sewage to flow into the river. Now, at least 15 miles of the Chattahoochee River is closed. Riverkeeper Jason Ulseth said the water is now "both unsafe and unhealthy." Fulton County has enabled a disinfection system at the plant. Water samples are being collected for testing; the affected section of the river is closed to the public. (11Alive.com WXIA)
- Roswell police responded to a call from the Car Spa on Alpharetta Street on June 9, after a verbal altercation with a customer occurred. Police were told that a man stood in front of a customer’s car while she was going to collect it after it was detailed and demanded that she pay him $200. He refused to move and advised the customer that they can pay him via cash, food stamps, or other forms of currency. Eventually, the man moved and allowed the woman to leave. However, he got in a car and pulled out behind the customer. He beeped his horn and flipped his middle finger at the victim. Security footage at the carwash confirmed the story. Police discovered the man's identity and is waiting to see if the customer would like to press charges. (Appen Media)
