- The City of Roswell has entered into a $3,734,013.95 contract with Allied Paving Contractors to repave 38 roads throughout the city. Contingent upon the weather, the work is scheduled to begin the week of June 19, and is to be completed by the end of summer. Shallowford Road, Etris Road, and Elkins Road are some of the roads that will be repaved. Roswell Councilmember Lee Hills said that “We are delighted to continue to invest in resurfacing and maintaining our roadways, citywide.” The City of Roswell has listed the roads that are scheduled to be repaved on their website. - This weekend is Father's Day, and there are plenty of activities to do with dad around town. Aurora Cineplex is one such place offering fun activities for the holiday. All dads will be able to play a free round of golf this weekend at The Fringe Miniature Golf. The offer is good until 10 p.m. on June 18. Chattahoochee Gulch and Doubloon Lagoon are two 18-hole courses that The Fringe offers. The courses are made for all ages and offer the perfect family-friendly activity to do to celebrate Father's Day. (Newsbreak)
- The Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell is a 127 acres "natural playground" where the adventure of the outdoors can be experienced. Aside from the awe of the natural environment, visitors can also interact with permanent and seasonal exhibits, and attend special programming. Some of the nature center's popular attractions are the Eco Zipline Canopy Tour and its canoeing events. There are several hiking trails and facilities where private events can be hosted. The butterfly gardens and the Butterfly Encounter are some of the center's highlights of the summer. The 365 Atlanta Traveler, a digital travel guide, outlined 19 reasons to visit Roswell's Chattahoochee Nature Center. (MSN)

- Roswell Soccer Club (RSC): This weekend, the RSC 2009 Boys soccer team will vie for the win at the Southeast Regionals. The competition will take place in North Carolina at Truist Park. (Roswell Soccer Club via Facebook)
- City of Roswell, Georgia: Roswell's Juneteenth celebration will take place on Monday, June 19 at City Hall. Dr. Maurice Hobson, a professor of African American Studies at Georgia State University, will be the guest speaker. The event will begin at 10 a.m. on the steps of City Hall. - Roswell, Georgia Cultural Arts Center: The 17-piece swing band called the Big Peach Swing Band, will perform at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center on June 25. Tickets for the concert are currently on sale at the Cultural Arts Center's website or by telephone. There are discounted pricing for senior citizens, students, and the military. - Nextdoor Neighbor, Inverness: The Martin's Garden Saturday Market will be at 410 Coleman Road this morning from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Martin's Garden sells fresh produce that is in season and harvested weekly. (Nextdoor)
- Roswell Rotary Club: The Roswell Rotary After Hours club were present at this month's Alive in Roswell event on this past Thursday. The club sold tickets to their Comedy For a Cause show which will take place on Thursday, June 22.
