  1. About 400 homes in the Edenwilde subdivision received antisemitic flyers in their driveways on Sunday morning. The literature in question blames Jewish people for the slave trade and polarizing issues such as abortion and the nation's current immigration crisis. The flyers also beseeched residents to “secure a white future.” Disparaging information about the LGBTQ community were also included in the messaging. Antisemitic propaganda being distributed in communities is not new to the metro area. This past February, similar flyers were left in neighborhoods throughout Sandy Springs and Dunwoody; East Atlanta neighborhoods received similar misinformation at their doorsteps in April. Police say that while these flyers are hateful and hurtful, it is not a criminal offense to disburse flyers within a community. The group responsible for this "marketing," the Goyim Defense League, is protected under free speech laws, according to Georgia law enforcement. (NBC)
  2. Bask Steakhouse is one of Roswell's newest fine dining restaurants and is quickly making a name for itself. The steakhouse uses seasonal and locally sourced ingredients and offers dry and wet-aged choices of meat to create its unique Southern cuisine. The owner, Tim Stevens, is not new to Roswell's food and beverage industry; he is renowned for his triumph with From the Earth Brewing Company (FTE) on Holcomb Bridge Road. He wanted to create an upscale dining experience in East Roswell and believes that, "Bask is a more upscale dining option than other restaurants in the area." Aside from the prime meat selection, the restaurant also serves a supreme wine list, barrel-aged beers, and "prohibition-style" cocktails. (Visit Roswell)
  3. On Monday, May 29, the City of Roswell's held its 24th annual Memorial Day Ceremony. The Roswell Rotary Club partnered with the city to publicly honor the sacrifices made by our nation's veterans. Many of the city's residents met at Roswell City Hall to observe the holiday. Roswell's Memorial Day tribute is the largest in the Southeast. Aside from a laying of the wreath, the ceremony featured a presentation of colors, and a tribute to prisoners of war and those missing in action. (Atlanta News First)
