ROSWELL, GA — The Roswell Police Department will host a chance for you to meet its newest police canine. K-9 Alf and his handler, officer John Hix, will be available to mix and mingle with the community from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11 at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center at 950 Forrest Street.
The pair will be on hand to "give an up close and personal look at our canine patrol cars and talk about the variety of dogs our department uses to keep the community safe," the police department said.
Residents are also encouraged to take photos and show the four-legged cop some love. Hix has been employed with the Roswell Police Department since September 2014. He began his law enforcement career in 2009 when he joined the Columbus Police Department.
