Roswell, GA — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Erin Brown who nominated Arianna of Roswell, Georgia.

Daughter

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Arianna is an 8th grader at Elkins Pointe Middle School. She was awarded Superior Honor Roll for having all As while taking 6 out of 7 high school courses. Her other course is a gifted class. She received Superior Performance at Linguapalooza 2024, a World Languages competition. She was the only 8th grader selected by her teacher to represent the entire school. She is in the Beta Club and participated on the Academic Bowl as team captain. Arianna received the Girls Fightin’ Titans Basketball Award for basketball excellence at the shooting guard position. She also enjoys playing softball and her team won first place in the championship as she caught one of the final outs. Arianna is such a well-rounded student and we’re excited to see what she accomplishes next.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

She never hesitates to help a friend or someone in need. She volunteers in her community and helps those who are underserved. She's going to Puerto Rico for a missions trip and volunteering at a camp for low-income families.

Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Arianna!
