  1. A 44-year-old Roswell woman was arrested on Aug. 24 in Forsyth County for traffic violations and DUI charges. The suspect caught the attention of law enforcement after failing to maintain her lane while driving on Buford Highway that evening. According to deputies, the suspect attempted to evade them. The suspect eventually pulled over, and upon their encounter, deputies noticed the smell of alcohol. The suspect also was noted to have had a “green leafy substance” on her tongue, and bloodshot eyes. The driver admitted having used marijuana earlier that day; she declined a field sobriety test. She was deemed to be impaired and was subsequently arrested and charged with misdemeanor DUI multiple substances, failure to maintain lane, driving in a gore, and possession of an open alcohol container. 2. The annual rivalry between Milton High School and Roswell High School was revived in last night's game. The competition between the two teams goes back more than 70 years. Since 1950, the teams have played against each other in 68 games. Both teams currently rank highly in their respective divisions. The Roswell Hornets come in 5th in the 6A division; the Milton Eagles hold the eighth ranking in the 7A division. Roswell High School has beat Milton more times in their rivalry series over the decades. "I think the biggest thing, being that it is my fourth year here, these kids believe in what we are doing, and they’ve bought in 100 percent," said Coach Chris Prewett of Roswell High School. Yesterday's game was broadcasted live on Peachtree TV and was streamed by Atlanta News First. (Atlanta News First)
  3. Explore Georgia is back in town, this time they highlighted some of the city's Greek restaurants. In downtown, they stopped by VAS Kouzina, which is heralded for its authentic Greek cuisine. Aside from its popular dishes like baked feta and spicy red pepper hummus, VAS Kouzina also serves a variety of wine, cocktails, and mocktails. Yeero Village on Sandy Plains Road offers American-style and authentic Greek options on their menu. Explore Georgia says that Yeero Village's convenient drive-through option makes "supporting this small business a no-brainer." Lastly, they visited Athens Greek Restaurant on Alpharetta Highway. This eatery has been a part of the Roswell community for many years. The food critics said that this Greek restaurant's cuisine makes up for its "outdated décor." Explore Georgia has named these three as the best in Roswell for Greek. (Newsbreak)
