- It's time for the city's annual Spring Works in Clay Studio Show and Sale at the Art Center West. The show and sale will take place from Thursday, May 18 through Wednesday, May 24. Thirty local artists and members of the Roswell Clay Collective will be showcasing the handmade artwork that they have been working on for the past year. The theme, "Works in Clay" envelops works of art that are "functional, sculptural and whimsical ceramics." This is the 19th year that Art Center West, a community-based ceramic and blacksmithing studio, will host this event. A portion of the proceeds will be used for equipment and education at Art Center West. (roswellgov.com)
- One of Roswell's premier homes, that is currently for sale, was recently featured in What Now Atlanta. The home is located in the downtown area in the Kings Mill subdivision. This home was highlighted as one of the great examples of how residential living is intertwined with nature and history in Roswell. The home is truly unique, and has many curves and cylinders incorporated in its design. This on-the-market property has scenic views of Vickery Creek and the Chattahoochee National Forest. Roswell made the list three times. Camp Kingfisher and High Meadows Camp are named as two of the best traditional summer camps around. These camps offer tons of outdoor activities where children can be hands-on with nature. Another camp that made the list is the Georgia SkyZone Camp is located in Roswell and Kennesaw. This camp is titled as one of the best sports and action camps in the metro area.
