ROSWELL, GA — The Roswell Police Department is investigating quite a few reports of a "suspicious van" seen lurking in parking lots around the city. This vehicle, the agency said on its Facebook page, has been seen at three Kroger parking lots and a clothing store.
A light-colored Honda Odyssey was seen at Kroger shopping centers at 2300 Holcomb Bridge Road, 8465 Holcomb Bridge Road and 750 East Crossville Road. Roswell police said the most recent report was made around 4:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 in the parking lot of TJ Maxx at 1125 Woodstock Road.
A van "was spotted following a teen driver walking to her car" in the lot. The caller could not confirm the make and model of the van, but noticed a handicap sign was hanging from the rear view mirror.

In each of the cases, Roswell police note there was no contact or communication between the van's occupants and the folks reporting the incidents.
"In the past, we have worked similar cases where scammers are targeting local parking lots offering unsuspecting victims' car repairs for money," the department added. "If a stranger approaches you offering any services, simply walk away. As always, call 911 to report suspicious activity."
