  1. On Monday, July 24, the City of Roswell has scheduled a Mayor and City Council Meeting. The meeting will be open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. at Roswell City Hall. The session will also be livestreamed on the City of Roswell's website, Facebook, and YouTube pages. Residents can find an outline of agenda for this meeting can also be found on the city's website in their meeting portal. (Facebook)
  2. Golf has been in full swing in Roswell with a very important recent competition. Golfer Chase Seiffert received his first U.S. Open berth on Monday, July 17 at the Ansley Golf Club in Roswell. He shot 69-68 and finished at 7-under alongside co-medalist Harry Hall. Sixty-eight players from Monday's competition advanced to compete in next week’s championship in Brookline, Massachusetts. Chase Seiffert, who also participated in the PGA Tour, has "four top-25 finishes in 11 starts" this past season. (NBC Sports)
  3. The bear that has returned to the Roswell area near Woodstock Road has caused concerned and calls to emergency personnel. The bear has been seen multiple times within the past few days. The Roswell Police Department said that residents shouldn't be in danger if they stay away and do not approach the bear. Bears have been spotted in nearby John's Creek as well. They are also reminding citizens to remove bird feeders, outdoor pet food, secure garbage and trash cans, and to clean and store grill and smokers. (Fox 5 Atlanta)

  • The Drake House: The Drake House, the Roswell-based nonprofit that provides aid to single mothers who are facing homelessness, is in need of donations. They are asking for items to help fill their pantry. Donations can be dropped off at their office Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. (The Drake House via Instagram)
  • Sarah Beeson, Roswell City Councilmember: Councilmember Beeson's quarterly "Coffee with a Councilmember" meeting is coming soon.   • Blessed Trinity High School: BT High School has added new members to their staff for the 2023-2024 school term. David Lago will be the school's business manager, Katy Cowan is the director of Advancement, Ellen Rick has been named as the director of Enrollment, and Leslie Evers will be Blessed Trinity's Food Service director.   • City of Roswell, Georgia Recreation, Parks, Historic, and Cultural Affairs: Tennis courts 1-4 at East Roswell Park are closed from July 24 through July 31 to have light poles replaced. Tennis courts 5-8 are also closed for renovations. The City of Roswell will update residents as to when the courts will reopen.
