🌱 Westside Market Opens In Roswell + The EDA Visits Kimberly-Clark

  1. Roswell Inc's Economic Development Alliance (EDA) took a visit to Kimberly-Clark on Holcomb Bridge Road for its bi-monthly luncheon last week. The Roswell Inc EDA is made up of head leaders from the Roswell business community. The EDA team nurtures the "economic growth and prosperity" of the city. While at Kimberly-Clark, the Roswell Inc team was able to attend presentations made by Kimberly-Clark's R&D Director and Director of Global Nonwovens. Roswell Inc also toured Kimberly-Clark's Research and Development Lab. (Instagram)
  2. During Labor Day weekend, Hero Boy Sandwich Company will open a new location in the city. The New York City sub sandwich shop will be located on the corner of Mansell Road and Warsaw Road. The shop's co-owner, Michael Giovine, is said to offer his "own unique perspective on Italian heroes." The establishment boasts itself on using top-quality Italian meats and cheeses. Greg Abel and Brad Kranz are the two other co-owners of this popular New York brand. The Hero Boy Sandwich Company will also be open for breakfast. (Newsbreak)
  3. The consignment retailer, Westside Market has opened another location in Roswell. This is its third location in the metro area, and their building on Holcomb Bridge Road has space to house 350 vendors. Vendors and consignors will have clothes, jewelry, home décor, furniture, art, and more for sale. Many of the consignors are local artisans in the Roswell and North Fulton area. “We have Roswell area artisans and consignors here who really know what the customers in north Atlanta like and are interested in purchasing,” said Frank Bell, the manager of Westside Market Roswell. Supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs is a major area of focus for the Westside Market. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony on the morning of Aug. 25. They will also host a grand opening celebration will be held the following day. (Metro Atlanta CEO)

  • Roswell High School Football: Coach Jankovich from Roswell High School is now the Southeast regional director for the National High School Strength Coaches Association (NHSSCA).   • Roswell Arts Fund: The Roswell Arts Fund has released the lineup of performers for the 2023 Beaucoup Jazz and Blues Festival. Some of the performers include: the Joe Alterman Trio, the Hibbard/Wright Project, and the Tyler Neal Band.   • City of Roswell, Georgia Government: On Sept. 11, Mayor Kurt Wilson and the City Council will hold a ceremony to honor those who perished in the 9/11 attacks. The commemorative service will begin at 8:30 a.m. on the City Hall steps.
