- One person died in Savannah on Sunday after being struck by a car while crossing the road. Dominguez Habacuc, 42, was crossing Ogeechee Road around 4:30 a.m. when he was struck by a car in the westbound lanes of the road. The investigation is ongoing. (WTOC)
- According to a 2022 survey conducted by Health Savannah, people in the city are taking advantage of community-based solutions that promote health in Savannah. The survey collected the responses from 642 participants, which was funded by the CDC Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH) grant, and asked participants about nutrition, physical activity, and community linkages as experienced by Black residents in low-income neighborhoods. Deidre Grim, the executive director of Forsyth Farmers’ Market and Farm Truck 912, said, "Providing resources that address nutrition insecurity, lack of access to healthy options and lack of access to transportation takes a joint effort." - A car accident caused big backups on I-16 eastbound on Monday morning. Only two lanes were open due to the crash which backed up traffic from I-516 in Savannah to I-95. It is unclear if there were any injuries as a result of the car accident. (WJCL News Savannah)
