- The Coastal Health District announced that COVID-19 infection cases are increasing in Chatham County. The increase is due to a new outbreak of a viral COVID-19 variant. The district reminds the community that reporting numbers are likely severely lower than reality due to at-home testing kits. (fox28media.com)
- A bench honoring the American soldiers that fought in the Battle of Savannah has been unveiled in Tricentennial Park. The bench was unveiled by the Georgia Sons of the American Revolution last Thursday. The Battle of Savannah was on Oct. 9, 1779. The British left Savannah on Jul. 11, 1782. (Savannah Morning News)
- The Savannah Police Department is currently investigating a double-shooting that occurred on East 54th and Live Oak Streets. Responding officers found two male victims at the shooting scene around 12:15 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Initial evidence indicates that the shooting was the result of a dispute between known associates. (WTOC)
