  1. A suspect in a fatal downtown Savannah road rage shooting has been arrested in Ohio. Rashad Williams, 23, is accused of shooting Ashton Gibbs, 32, and a woman during the incident that occurred on May 8 on Broughton Street. He is now awaiting extradition to Savannah to stand trial.   2. Healthy Savannah & YMCA of Coastal Georgia has joined together to create safer places to walk and bike in Savannah neighborhoods. The project is funded through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Racial & Ethnic Approaches to Community Health grant program. The project is working to improve sidewalks, tree canopies, and crosswalks. (Savannah CEO)
  3. The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System reports having nearly 100 fewer school drivers for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. The system employs 219 bus drivers for 2020 routes — but it isn't enough. The district reportedly hopes to hire additional bus drivers through career fairs, expos, and social media advertising.
