Here are the top three stories today in Savannah:

1. The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is preparing for a busy holiday period. The airport is notifying potential travelers that there will be big crowds — potentially bigger than pre-pandemic levels. The airport is preparing for a potential 10-15 percent capacity increase in November and December. Plan to arrive at the airport at least two hours early during the holiday period. (WJCL)
2. The Chatham County community is raising money for a teacher diagnosed with rare stage four thyroid cancer. Misty Selph needs to be treated at the MD Cancer Institute in Houston. 3. Savannah's homebuilders are lowering prices. According to NAHB Chairman Jerry Konter, "buyer traffic is weakening in many markets" around the country. Almost a quarter of Savannah's homebuilders have reported lowering home prices — a significant rise from the 19 percent in August. (CNBC)
