Here are the top three stories in Savannah today:
- Savannah’s CASA is currently accepting applications for its six-week training program. The course will begin on Aug. 18. A CASA volunteer is a court-appointed special advocate for children in the child welfare system. The program and its volunteers are vital to the community. Click to learn more about the training. - A Savannah shooting has left one injured and one dead. The incident occurred in the 5400 block of Robinson Circle. According to the Savannah Police Department, the injured victim man is currently being treated for his injuries and is expected to survive. Police have reportedly located a person of interest, but they have not yet revealed that person's identity. (fox28media.com)
