Here are the top three stories in Savannah today:
- A coyote is responsible for raiding five Tybee Island turtle nests. The coyote reportedly destroyed and ate through the nests. - Savannah residents celebrated Jamaican culture on Saturday. The 60th anniversary of Jamaican Independence was celebrated at the African American Cultural Center through food, music, and speakers. Unieros hosted the event to shed light on different Savannah cultures. The organization will reportedly be celebrating Ukrainian Independence in the future. (WTOC)
- This week is World Breastfeeding Week. To celebrate, a booth was set up at the Forsyth Park Farmers' Market to distribute pamphlets on the benefits of breastfeeding.
