- Healthy Savannah will be providing $7,000 for faith-based COVID-19 and flu awareness programs. The grant operations manager, Dr. Elsie Smalls, argues that a faith-based program can use already established relationships to get residents to listen to information regarding vaccinations. A faith-based organization can receive up to $1,500 depending on the proposal. (fox28media.com)
- A Savannah heating & cooling company warns of a nationwide parts shortage for air conditioners. This shortage can be incredibly impactful during spiking temperatures. The company is reportedly traveling to get necessary parts, sometimes across three states. Residents should report air conditioning problems as soon as possible to shorten repair delays. (WTOC)
- Collins Quarter Forsyth Park will be hosting a special fundraising event on Jul. 14 to support Ukraine during its war with Russia. The fundraiser will be from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in partnership with the group "Savannah Supports Ukraine." The funds will be given to Doctors Without Borders. (Connect Savannah.com)
