  1. Chatham County Parks & Recreation has launched a new football safety initiative for coaches. The program is meant to address the rising threat of sports-related concussions among children. Coaches will be equipped with the latest skills, techniques, and information to ensure correct instruction for area children. (WSAV-TV)
  2. The Savannah Boys & Girls Club will be celebrating its chapter's 100th Anniversary this week. The organization will be celebrating with a special open house event on Jul. 14 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at its facility on E. Charlton. The club currently serves around 250 children each day during the chapter's summer camp. (WJCL)
  3. The Savannah Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Sunday night. The incident occurred in the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue around 10:00 p.m. The department has not released any information regarding a suspect. The victim's injuries were non-fatal.
