- A newly revised plan for Savannah's Forsyth Park proposes fewer changes. The privately-financed plan would cost roughly $16 million with the city approving the plan before work can begin. The new plan would focus the bulk of the chances on the south end of the park to preserve the park's historic features. (The State)
- One individual was rescued from the Savannah River after a 20-foot boat capsized. The incident occurred on Saturday night around 10:45 p.m. with the U.S. Coast Guard Station Tybee Island responding. Four other passengers of the capsized boat were able to swim to shore. (WTOC)
- The Savannah Book Festival has chosen a new Executive Director — Tara Setter. She has been a vital member of the organization since 2018, serving as both Assistant Executive Director and Interim Executive Director. The organization has also named new board members — Matt Graham, Caroline “Caro” Cay Powell, Carolyn “Carri” Stoltz, and Deb Werner. (Savannah Morning News)
