- Hanukkah begins at sundown this Sunday, and Savannah is celebrating in a big way! Hanukkah in the Square has been transformed into Hanukkah in the Park due to the increasing size of the crowd. The event will be held for the first time at Forsyth Park. The event is free, open to the public, and includes activities for all ages. (WTOC)
- It may not be a white Christmas in Savannah, but it certainly is gearing up to be a cold one. Arctic air from Canada is expected to move across the central and eastern states the closer Christmas gets. Southeast Georgia and the Lowcountry will be hit by the cold blast a day or two before Christmas, and they are expected to stick around through the holiday season. (WJCL News Savannah)
- A Savannah man has been charged with the deadly shooting of his ex-girlfriend at a local store. On Dec. 15, 22-year-old Alphonso Irving allegedly shot 19-year-old Natalie Sampayo at European Wax on Mall Boulevard. She was rushed to the hospital, where she died of her injuries. Sampayo was working at the shop when she was shot. (WJCL News Savannah)
