Here are the top three stories in Savannah today:
- The Chatham County Health Department has issued a beach water advisory for a portion of Tybee Island. The advisory, announced on Tuesday through a department statement, was issued due to high levels of enterococcus bacteria. The advisory is for the section of the beach between 18th Street and Inlet Avenue. (WJCL News Savannah)
- Savannah Mayor Van Johnson wants to rename a city street for Sen. Raphael Warnock. The announcement was made during the mayor's weekly press conference. The proposal would rename Cape Street in the Kayton Homes community to Raphael Warnock Way. Mayor Johnson is reportedly hopeful that the honorary street renaming will be approved by the Savannah City Council. (WJCL News Savannah)
- The Savannah Police Department is reportedly searching for four individuals who have information on a homicide investigation. The individuals were caught on surveillance camera footage.
