Here are the top three stories today in Savannah:

  1. The Savannah City Council is considering a proposal to implement impact fees. The fees would be enacted when an individual purchases land and would be for city services and road improvements. The council is split on the proposal. Opponents of the fees argue that the average person would be paying the fee - not developers. Supporters argue that the fee would support new growth in Savannah. (WTOC)
  2. The Savannah College of Art and Design has released a statement regarding its recent cyber breach. According to the university, all impacted individuals have been notified, third-party cybersecurity experts have been engaged, and federal law enforcement has been notified. The university reports that operations were not impacted due to early detection and rapid response. The university pledges to adapt and implement enhanced safeguards moving forward. (WSAV-TV)
  3. The Savannah Police Department has located missing Kelyn Glover. The 13-year-old girl went missing on Wednesday from Betty Drive. According to the department, Glover was found safe. (WJCL News Savannah)
