- With such an active flu season, Richmond Hill Pharmacy is struggling to accommodate the public demand for amoxicillin. Co-owner of the pharmacy, Alex Tucker, says, “It’s a real problem right now. Currently, even this weekend, none of our primary wholesalers, nor even our secondary wholesalers, had some common strings in stock.” Amoxicillin is especially important in regulating fevers in children. - The Savannah police department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Sunday. Officers were called to Gateway Boulevard West at 10:30 p.m. and found Marvin Sintell Swan dying from gunshot wounds. Police are still investigating the incident and encourage anyone with information to call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020. (WJCL News Savannah)
- Savannah man Robert Stephens has pleaded guilty to kidnapping and has been sentenced to over 17 years in prison. Stephens's co-defendant James Page also plead guilty to kidnapping and robbing the man who Stephens went on to stab and assault during the trip from Florida to Savannah. David H. Estes, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia, said of the case, “This nightmarish crime left the victim near death, and it sadly was a continuum of Robert Stephens’s violent, antisocial history.” (WSAV-TV)
