  1. The Savannah Police Department is asking for the community's assistance in identifying an individual that is involved in a sexual battery investigation. The department has provided a photo of the individual that is believed to work downtown. Anyone with information is asked to contact CrimeStoppers. Click to view the photo. (WTOC)
  2. The Savannah Police Department's new interim chief spoke at a town hall about the issues facing the department. According to Chief Lenny Gunther, he is focused on improving department morale while building a stronger community relationship. Morale has reportedly increased since the city raised first responder compensation. Chief Gunther assumed the interim chief position after Chief Minter stepped down. (WTOC)
  3. The Savannah-Chatham County Public School district has partnered with AAA and the Governor's Office of Highway Safety to launch a campaign on road safety during the start of the 2022-2023 school year. Back-to-school season reportedly increases the number of individuals on Savannah roads. Drivers are reminded to slow down in school zones and to remove distractions.
