  1. Police are investigating a Savannah shooting that landed one person in the hospital. The shooting took place around 5:00 a.m. in the 700 block of Magazine Avenue. Police arrived on the scene to discover a 57-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for a non-life-threatening injury. The investigation is ongoing. (WJCL News Savannah)
  2. Savannah Mayor Van Johnson has announced that he will be running for reelection. The announcement was made during his weekly press conference on Tuesday. Alderwoman Kesha Gibson-Carter has also stated that she intended to run for mayor. All nine Savannah City Council seats will be up for election in November. (WSAV-TV)
  3. Glass recycling is returning to Savannah after a five-year hiatus. The decision to bring the program back to the city was made last year by the Savannah City Council. The details of the program have yet to be announced. Officials say further information on the glass recycling program will be made available next week. (WSAV-TV)
