  1. Chatham County Emergency Management Agency officials are urging the community to prepare for hurricanes despite passing the season's peak. The agency warns more named storms will likely begin forming. Create a plan with loved ones to ensure everyone is on the same page. Take evacuation orders seriously. (fox28media.com)
  2. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has reportedly completed its probe into the five recent Savannah Police Department officer-involved shootings. Chatham County District Attorney Shalena Cook Jones will now decide if her office will be filing criminal charges. The office will conduct its own review in the coming months. (WJCL News Savannah)
  3. Chatham County and the City of Savannah are still negotiating the distribution of Local Option Sales Tax. The current agreement allocates 77 percent of the funds for city municipalities with the remainder being distributed to the county. The city rejected the county's 50/50 split offer during the most recent negotiations meeting. Both parties have until the end of the year to come to an agreement. (fox28media.com)
