Here are the top three stories today in Savannah:
- The deadline to file property taxes for Chatham County residents is Tuesday, Nov. 15. County residents can pay their property tax bills online at this link. Residents can also pay their bills in person at the Tax Commissioner's offices. Walk-ins are accepted. Click for a list of locations and hours. (fox28media.com)
- The Chatham County Police Department reports that the number of protestors outside of Quinton Simon's home has increased. The department will be enforcing two county ordinances regarding large protests. The first ordinance is the "parade and public assembly" ordinance which requires a permit from the county manager for a protest that interferes with the normal flow of traffic. The second ordinance is the "loitering" ordinance which prohibits loitering between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. (Savannah Patch)
- WJCL 22 will be hosting its Turkey Drive at Pooler Piggly Wiggly on Thursday, Nov. 10. All donated turkeys will be given to America's Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia. The event will have a drive-up tent available for turkey drop-off in case of inclement weather. (WJCL News Savannah)
