  1. Savannah’s City Council will share a list of revisions to its alcohol ordinance at their meeting today at City Hall at 6:30 p.m. The council has held meetings and public forums to discuss potential changes to the ordinance since October 2022. If the proposed revisions at this evening’s meeting pass, they will go into effect on Apr. 1. One major proposed revision would require waitstaff and bartenders to have alcohol server certifications.   2. Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT) entered the design phase of raising Savannah’s towering suspension bridge to allow larger ships to pass through. The DOT approved hiring a contractor to consult on the project at their January meeting. The estimated cost of raising the bridge and replacing suspension cables on the Eugene Talmadge Memorial Bridge, which opened in 1991, is $150 to $175 million. (WJXT News4JAX )
  3. A 15-year-old boy was shot Tuesday afternoon on Amaranth Avenue. He reportedly suffered a non-life-threatening shot to his leg and was taken to the hospital. The investigation is ongoing. (WJCL News Savannah)
