Here are the top three stories in Savannah today:
- The City of Savannah will be unveiling its newly installed public art sculptures on Saturday. The sculptures are titled "Of Communities and the Land and the Trees that Bear Witness to Them." The city commissioned the sculptures from local sculptor Jerome B. Meadows. The unveiling will be at Enmarket Arena from 10:00 a.m. to noon. (Savannah Tribune)
- The "Shots & Headshots" event will be returning on Nov. 14 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The popular fundraiser will be held at Arco Cocktail Lounge & Coastal Fare on E Bay St. Proceeds from the event will support the United Way of the Coastal Empire. Click for more event information. (WSAV-TV)
- The Chatham County Board of Elections reports it is planning to expand early voting access for future elections. The announcement was made by Savannah Mayor Van Johnson during a press conference on Tuesday. To expand, the board will need to appeal to the Chatham County Commissioners for increased funding.
