  1. Savannah's Mobility and Parking Services division is cracking down on unpaid parking tickets from 2019, aiming to collect millions of dollars in outstanding fines. The city has already booted almost 500 cars and towed over 50 in an effort to collect the unpaid fines, which total in the millions. (WJCL News Savannah)
  2. SCAD SERVE, a community of students, faculty, staff, and volunteers from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), planted more than 100 mature trees in two areas of Savannah, the Canal District, and the Brickyard neighborhood. The Design for Good initiative aims to improve the quality of life in food, shelter, clothing, and the environment. SCAD President Paula Wallace noted the positive impact of trees on economic vitality, physical and mental wellness, and beauty and stated that all neighborhoods in Savannah deserve these benefits. 3. The Savannah Black Art Expo will take place at the Savannah Cultural Art Center and showcase visual and performing artists, vendors, and food trucks that share history and culture related to Savannah and beyond.
