  1. The Savannah Police Department is currently searching for a man that allegedly fired at officers while barricading himself inside a home. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning when the department responded to a domestic incident. Massie Ellis, 25 years old, fled the scene after shooting at the officers. The department has not clarified who shot first and whether officers fired back. (WTOC)
  2. State Representative Carl Gilliard has been selected as one of Savannah's Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade grand marshals. The announcement was made at the 2023 Parade Grand Marshals and Trailblazer Reception on Sunday. This year's parade theme is "inspiration of equality is, he himself." (WTOC)
  3. Chatham County will be participating in a statewide tornado drill this morning. The drill is being operated by The Georgia Emergency Management Agency. The purpose of the drill is to test the agency's emergency siren system. The test will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will last for about one full minute. (Fox 28 Media)
