- The Savannah Joint Development Authority, along with other officials, appointed Wadley Donovan Gutshaw Consulting, LLC for a workforce study and comprehensive plan. The hopes from officials are the study and plan will help combat labor supply challenges especially ahead of the need for 8,000 workers to operate the Hyundai plant. The study begins in January 2023. - Savannah State University's Tiger Arena has been selected as the location for the 2022-2023 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament. "Savannah is a perfect fit given its affluent sports history," said Savannah State President Kimberly Ballard-Washington. "We are excited to welcome SIAC fans and students to our great city!" - Roger Moss will become the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System school board president for the next four years. Moss will be sworn in on Jan. 5 and will take over his responsibilities at that time. The new president says building relationships is at the top of his list of priorities at the start of his term.
