Here are the top three stories in Savannah today:

1. Savannah is the best destination for summer fun. WSAV has created a list of family-friendly summer activities for residents to experience the best that Savannah has to offer. Click for the full list that includes ferry rides, bowling, and Tybee Island. (WSAV-TV)
2. The Savannah Police Department joined various local law enforcement agencies in responding to a Garden City address. The incident occurred on Monday at Salt Creek Road when a suspect began firing at officers that responded to a call for service. The situation was reportedly under control by 5:00 p.m. but the department remained on the scene to provide investigation support. (WJCL News Savannah)
3. Chatham County's Hurricane Expo will be at the Oglethorpe Mall this Saturday. The event will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with various vendors while learning about hurricane preparedness. Click for a list of vendors. (WTOC)
