Here are the top three stories in Smyrna-Vinings today:
- We are reporting an update on yesterday's reporting of the Smyrna apartment complex fire: a total of 20 residents have been displaced by the fire at 1901 Old Concord Rd. on Sunday morning. Thankfully, none of the 20 residents were harmed during the fire. The Cobb County Fire Department continues to investigate the cause of the fire. (CBS46)
- Libre Initiative distributed gift cards at Smyrna's La Mexicana supermarket on Sunday to support local families during recent inflation. The gift cards were distributed by officials and volunteers while educating residents on different economic issues impacting the community. Georgia's inflation is reportedly higher than the national average. (CBS46)
- Cobb County Schools will continue adding stop-arm cameras to school buses. Currently, more than 60 of the district's buses possess cameras. The district has been attempting to educate county drivers on student safety. The new stop-arm cameras will spot drivers that fail to adhere to student safety measures. (WSBTV)
