Alleged Vinings Bank Robber Returns for More, Gets Caught Instead

Cobb County police arrested the suspect while he was sitting inside his car in an apartment complex parking lot on Tuesday morning.

Cobb County police have arrested a man they say robbed a bank in Vinings in November of last year and then returned for more loot on Tuesday morning.

Fitzroy Campbell, 35, of Smyrna is charged with two counts of armed robbery and six counts of aggravated assault following his arrest after an armed robbery at the Wells Fargo bank at 3351 Riverwood Parkway on Tuesday.

Officers were dispatched to the bank at 10:35 a.m. in response to a commercial bank robbery in progress call. As more police arrived and combed the scene, a witness trailing the suspect kept 911 operators notified of the suspect’s whereabouts.
