  1. Staffers with the Cobb County Public Library and the Cobb County School District have been recognized for their work with the Books2Keep Bookmobile initiative. The staffers were awarded the Preschool Outreach and School Services Inspirations Award. The recognition is presented by the Association of Bookmobile and Outreach Services. The initiative distributed donated books to local students during the summer of 2021. (Cobb County Courier)
  2. The Fall Festival of Fun 2022 will be held at Jim R. Miller Park on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The event will be presented in a drive-thru-style format. Participants will drive through the decorated area while receiving goodie bags. Please stay in your car and buckle up. (Cobb County)
  3. The Cobb County Sheriff's Office has added two new electric vehicles to its fleet. The first new electric vehicle is a van to transport inmates. The second new electric vehicle is a Mustang Mach-E. The department reports that the new electric options will reduce the wear and tear that is placed on a traditional gas-powered engine while idling for extended periods of time. (WSBTV)
