Here are the top three stories in Smyrna-Vinings today:
- A Friends of Smyrna Library book sale will be held on Aug. 27. Yesterday, the Friends of Smyrna Library announced an upcoming book sale in which all proceeds will be used to purchase a new collection of Wonderbooks by Playaway for the Smyrna Library Youth Services Department. Over 100 volunteer opportunities are available to support the book sale from Aug. 14 to Aug. 29. (Cobb County Courier)
- Browse new open houses in Smyrna-Vinings this weekend. The residences with open houses this weekend range from a modern 3 bed, 3.5 bath townhome for $469,900 to a spacious 5 bed, 3.5 bath single-family home for $500,000. (Smyrna-Vinings Patch)
- The public comment period for Cobb County's Comprehensive Plan 2040 ends this Friday. The Community Development Agency will accept public comments through July 29 for the 2040 Comprehensive Plan, which is a long-range, community-designed growth strategy. The 5-year update is mandated by the State of Georgia and seeks to continue to make Cobb County an attractive place to invest, conduct business, and raise a family.
