- The Smyrna City Council held a brief council meeting on Monday in City Hall. During the meeting, the council issued a proclamation honoring National American Indian Heritage Month. The proclamation was read by Councilwoman Latonia Hines. The consent agenda was also approved during the meeting. (Cobb County Courier)
- The Cobb County Commission has allocated $20 million for public safety pay and recruiting efforts. The funds are coming from the county's federal American Rescue Plan Act funds. Cobb County's public safety department's have a vacancy rate of 12 percent. The plan prioritizes current staff first. (Subscription: The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
- Gas prices in Cobb County are trending down as families prepare for Thanksgiving travel. Cobb County's prices are 11 cents lower than they were in October. The average price of gas in Georgia is currently $4.49 per gallon. The lower price of gas has been attributed to an increase in supply. (Yahoo)
