UPDATE: Children Critically Injured in Smyrna Wreck

Police say a minivan pulled out in front of a Cobb County transit bus, according to a report.

Three young children have been injured in a serious collision on Windy Hill Road in Smyrna on Tuesday afternoon, according to a report.

Police tell WSB-TV that the minivan the children were riding in pulled out in front of a Cobb Community Transit bus east of South Cobb Drive. Two of the three children, all of whom are between 2 and 4 years old, are in critical condition, according to the station.

The driver of the minivan had to be extricated from the mangled wreckage, police told WSB-TV.

Traffic on Windy Hill Road is was closed in both directions but has re opened as of 4:05 p.m., WSB-TV reports.
