Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremonies Set In Smyrna, Vinings
Holiday celebrations and tree lightings at The Battery Atlanta, downtown Smyrna and Vinings Jubilee are all set this weekend and next week.

SMYRNA-VININGS, GA ā The time for Christmas tree lighting celebrations, Christmas carols and Santa Claus visits is back, including in the Smyrna and Vinings areas ā and some events are happening as early as this weekend.

The Battery Atlanta Tree Lighting

When: Saturday, Nov. 27 from 5:30-7 p.m.
Where: The Battery Atlanta, 800 Battery Avenue SE, Atlanta

Details: The Battery Atlanta's tree lighting ceremony will kick off with a performance from The Block Party on the Georgia Power Pavilion Stage, and the festive fun will continue with Mark Owens and Blooper, on behalf of the Atlanta Braves, as they help track down Santa as he gets closer to lighting the tree around 7 p.m.
Immediately following the celebration, guests are invited to stay and enjoy an outdoor showing of āAbominableā as part of the Xfinity Fall Movie Series on the Georgia Power Pavilion screen.

Smyrna's Tree Lighting
When: Tuesday, Nov. 30 from 5-8 p.m.
Where: Downtown Smyrna
Cost: Free
More details: The city of Smyrna's Coming Home for the Holidays event will feature a visit from Santa, live music and a tree lighting at 7 p.m.
Vinings Jubilee Christmas Tree Lighting
When: Thursday, Dec. 2 from 6-8 p.m.
Where: Vinings Jubilee at Tower Stage, 4300 Paces Ferry Road SE, Atlanta
Cost: Free
Details: Vinings Jubilee will be transformed into a holiday wonderland for the tree lighting, featuring a visit from Santa Claus with photo opportunities, live Christmas music from 1940s-style carolers and Whitefield Academy's Jazz Band, ornament decorating, a balloon artist, face painting, a puppet show and Santa's train.
