- The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement yesterday for Cobb County. According to the National Weather Service, low relative humidity and dry conditions could increase the danger of fires. County residents are asked to take extreme caution for outdoor burning. - The deadline to register to vote for the Nov. 8 General Election is Tuesday, Oct. 11. Cobb County voters will have the opportunity to participate in early voting for this election. - Keep Cobb Beautiful will be hosting its Fall Community Recycling event on Saturday, Oct. 15 at Marietta's Jim Miller Park. The event will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event will be offering free paper shredding services. There will be a shredding limit of ten small boxes per vehicle.
