- Cobb County is asking for residents' input regarding its Comprehensive Five-Year Strategic Plan. The survey asks residents' opinions on the county government's performance, services, and future priorities. The surveys will be used to prioritize initiatives during the plan's development. - Smyrna's Curbside Sanitation & Recycling schedule will be adjusted to accommodate the holiday season. There will be no yard waste collection during the week of Dec. 19 through Dec. 27. - Several Cobb County communities will be observing Veterans Day with special events and ceremonies. All county residents can show support for veterans by participating in Operation Green Light through Nov. 11. To participate, simply change your porch light to a green bulb.
