1. The Cobb Young Professionals' next leadership luncheon is scheduled for Aug. 16 at 11:30 a.m. at the Atlanta Lyric Theatre. The event, which will focus on creativity and the arts, will host panelists from the fields of theatre, visual arts, and creative placemaking. Registration for the leadership luncheon is open until Aug. 12. (Cobb County Courier)
2. A Smyrna Dunkin' is celebrating its grand re-opening tomorrow, Aug. 5, with free coffee. The newly-renovated South Cobb Drive store will open at 5 a.m. and award the first 100 guests free coffee for a year. For those who don't want to wake up quite that early, customers can come by between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. for a free medium hot or iced coffee. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
3. MARTA is hosting a job fair today, Aug. 4, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the MARTA headquarters. The transit authority is hoping to fill multiple open positions for bus operators and journeyman bus technicians — and is offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus to help entice job seekers. Applicants must be vaccinated against COVID-19. (CBS 46 News)
