Here are the top three stories in Smyrna-Vinings today:

1. Cobb County's early voting numbers have topped the 2020 presidential election. The last day of early voting in the county was on Friday, Nov. 4. About 176,500 voters cast an early ballot — over 2,000 more ballots compared to 2020. The Smyrna Community Center experienced the longest voting lines with wait times reaching 70 minutes at some points. (Yahoo! News)
2. A Cobb County investigation has revealed over 1,000 absentee ballots were not sent to qualifying voters. The individuals who did not receive an absentee ballot will now have to vote on Tuesday in person. The issue allegedly started when election workers failed to upload ballot information to a mailing machine. (Cobb County)
3. The City of Smyrna's Parks & Recreation Department will be hosting a North Pole Ornament Workshop next month. The event will be held on Friday, Dec. 9 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Smyrna Community Center. There is a $10 fee to participate. This is the perfect opportunity to create a holiday keepsake.
