Equipment Donated to Cobb Public Safety

Firehouse Subs donated more than $267,000 worth of equipment to 18 public safety organizations in the metro area.

From Cobb County Government

Last week, public safety dignitaries from around metro Atlanta gathered at the Cobb County Safety Village. Firehouse Subs leadership renewed its commitment to helping keep our community safe. At the event, Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation staff awarded more than $267,000 worth of life-saving equipment to 18 public safety organizations in the metro Atlanta area. Since 2005, more than $1.2 million has been awarded in Georgia.

Several public safety organizations in Cobb were recipients at the ceremony, including the Cobb County Safety Village Foundation, Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services and Smyrna Police Department. Donated equipment includes a tactical series robot capable of performing bomb disposal, surveillance and reconnaissance, thermal imaging cameras to help locate victims, an interactive fire safety house, automated external defibrillators, a fire hose, vehicle extrication equipment and tablet computers. Firehouse Subs is already a donor at the Cobb Safety Village, sponsoring a storefront in the mini village. The company’s new sponsorship funds will be used to build the Public Safety Fire and Police buildings on site.
