  1. Officials say a man was shot and killed in downtown Atlanta Friday morning. At around 8:20 a.m., officers received reports of a person shot at Summit Cafeteria on Marietta Street. Atlanta fire and Grady EMS officials pronounced the victim dead at the scene. As of Friday morning, his identity is unknown, and the investigation remains ongoing. (WSBTV)
  2. An East Cobb resident has filed an ethics complaint against Commissioner Jerica Richardson. In her complaint to the Cobb Board of Ethics, Debbie Fisher alleges that Richardson is engaged in a conflict of interest due to a political action committee she formed to fight her redistricting by the Georgia legislature. Fisher is seeking a censure of Richardson and wants to void Richardson’s votes on the maps. (East Cobb News)
  3. The new cocktail bar Mambo Zombi owners are on a venture to include alcohol-free visitors. The new afterlife-themed cocktail bar above the Georgia Beer Garden off Edgewood Avenue opened last September. It mixes creative concoctions for the living and the undead and offers non-alcoholic drinks such as tepache, chicha morada, and agua fresca. (WABE 90.1 FM)
