Here are the top three stories today in Smyrna-Vinings:

1. The Smyrna Public Library will be hosting its First Sunday Lecture on Nov. 6 at 3:00 p.m. The lecture will be "The Vietnam War: A Black Man's Perspective." Johnny Crawford, the author of Vietnam Black Soldiers Portrait Project, will be the speaker. The lecture will be held in the library's Meeting Room. (City of Smyrna)
2. Cobb County election staffers will be collecting absentee ballots at various library branches throughout the county on Monday, Nov. 7. Absentee ballots can still be returned to the Main Election Office on Roswell Street on Tuesday, Nov. 8, before 7:00 p.m. The collection will be from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Click for a list of participating library branches. 3. The Cobb County Police Department reports that a vehicle crash on Thursday resulted in multiple injuries. The crash occurred near the intersection of Campus Loop and Frey Road. The department is currently investigating the crash. It is unclear how many individuals were involved in the crash or how it was caused. (NewsBreak)

• Smyrna's Parks & Recreation Department will be hosting a holiday ornament decorating party on Dec. 9 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Community Center. There will be a $10 fee to participate. (City of Smyrna, GA Government via Facebook)
